Internet customer, John from Moab, Utah writes "I had my horn overhauled by Harbor
Winds and am very impressed with the work Steve did on my Yamaha Tenor. It plays like it
did when it was new. It feels great. It's still my horn...only better!
Steve is a wonderful tech and I would recomend him to anybody needing
repair or reconditioning of an instrument. He is definately the real deal and will be my
repair guy from now on. "

An email from a satisfied customer: January 2012
Steve, just wanted to say that I think you did a great job on my H.couf Superba I tenor. I bought this horn
back in 1979 new, and although I kept it well maintained, I never had it overhauled. I researched carefully
and decided on you based on recommendations as well as the fact that when I met you and played alongside
you in the big band, you took a genuine interest in my concerns about the horn. I went to your “cave” and we
discussed the work to be done. You actually took over an hour with me and we looked over my horn and
discussed the different options, you even gave me some tips about how to get rid of some of the corrosion
on my own. With that kind of response, I decided you would be the one to overhaul my horn.
After I got the horn back I can only say “WOW!”. It sounds great again, still has that big and bold sound that
is H.Couf, and the response on the keys is like a new horn again! Thanks for breathing new life into my
horn, I really do appreciate the time and effort you put into my horn to make it play wonderfully again.
Thanks,
Giuseppe Rappa
