James Levin's comment on a recent flute repair :Even her not so
trained ears noticed the difference (in the flute). My wife noticed
a significant change.

It has become clearly evident that there are many people who “believe” they can repair instruments
but only a true few who actually “can”. Steve is one of these rare finds. Whether he is completely
dissecting an instrument and rebuilding it from scratch or coming to the rescue of a player on a
Friday evening 90 minutes before a performance, his diligence, knowledge, passion and attention
to detail are what make me a returning customer over and over again. Having experienced both
situations referenced above, I can attest to Steve’s superior ability to diagnose, assess and repair
a problem, many of which are sometimes so small and minute that a simple adjustment puts the
horn back into perfect working order if not better. Steve has worked on all of my horns, from flute,
all the way through to Bari sax, and all clarinets and saxophones in between. You will be hard-
pressed to find another repair person who because he is a player himself can understand all the
nuances of each family of instruments whether they are mainstream brands and models or more
obscure and translate that into a terrific repair. Ultimately, there are many choices out there for a
person to take their woodwind instruments to, however, should you choose Steve, I guarantee you
will be wonderfully happy with the quality of work you receive, whether it is a large scale overhaul
or a smaller regulation or adjustment.

The flute is sounding great!  Thank you so much for fixing it so promptly
and efficiently.  You really saved me.  I will absolutely recommend you
to all of the woodwind players I know and my students

Hello Mr. Coz,

Thank you very much for the saxophone and the work you put into it.   Not only does it
sound good to us, but his teacher Mr. Luther played it yesterday and was really
impressed with the sound.   Thank you also for adding the jazz style mouthpiece.   My son
really enjoys playing - as a fourth grader he was asked to play in the sixth grade band this
year - and I am looking forward to the great music he will be making with that sax.

I am very impressed with your work.  My horn plays like it did when it was
brand new.  I'm falling in Love all over again with my tenor.  I had a chance
to blow with some Funk cats here at a local bar last night and had a ball
going all over the horn for hours.  It sounds sooooo good right now.  I plan
on sending it to you whenever I need work.  You will get more than one
recomend from me, that's for sure.  Thanks again for your hard work and
patience with my instrument.  I can't say enought positive things about my
experience with you, Steve.  You are my hero!

Steve,

I just wanted to say thanks again for bringing my flute into such great
playing condition!  I can finally play in the low register and also play the
higher registers without pressing the keys down so hard like I used to.  I
also have no idea where the headjoint dent was since you've taken it out.
I will highly recommend you to anybody looking to get repairs/tuning done
to their wind instruments.

Thanks again!

Frank
