WOODWINDS Repair Policy
Play Condition Instrument - Instruments are repaired to performance condition. This could include the
replacement of Worn pads, broken springs, or regulation, lubrication. Work is performed as Time and
material at a rate of $70.00 per hour, Play condition is guaranteed for 1 year.
Complete Repad/Overhaul - 2 Year Guarantee
Instrument is disassembled and all keys are tightened. All body parts and keys are cleaned. All pads, key
corks, felts, and tenon/neck/head corks are replaced. Springs are replaced as necessary. Wooden
instruments are oiled. Hand polishing available on Flutes.
Instrument is assembled and adjusted. Mechanism is oiled and instrument is play-tested. Dent removal on
saxophones is additional.
Shop Policies
Prices are available on request. General shop rates are $70.00 per hour, minimum shop visit $35.00
I guarantee all repairs under normal playing conditions. Abusive playing conditions as determined by
myself are not covered under guarantee, e.g., smoke, food, alcohol, outdoor playing, airplane travel can all
adversely affect the instrument.
I guarantee customer satisfaction. Instrument overhauls can take time to settle in. New pads, springs and
felts need time to acclimate to the instrument and the player. I work closely with the player to insure the
instrument plays to their satisfaction. This could mean returning the instrument for fine tuning after the
initial overhaul. Instruments can be highly personal, key heights, voicings, spring tension need to be
addressed on an individual basis. I will work with the customer to their satisfaction is meet. All overhauls
are guaranteed for 2 years, adjustments and fine tuning inclusive.
